Social media, digital marketing and QR Codes have really influenced business card designs in the last decade. Many of GraphicRiver’s participating artists demonstrate how the classic sized (3.5×2) business card can remain fresh, innovative and contemporary providing a more conducive eye-grabbing experience from prospects.
This dark “Vertical Creative Business Card” by mylifer is a killer profile-esque business card design intended for individual-focused businesses or sole proprietors. Web-based businesses, web developers, creative professional and graphic designers may appreciate a modern approach to the classic 3.5×2 canvas.
Intended for individual designers, the next fully editable business card design “Envelope Style Business Card” immediately caught my attention. This clean template includes appropriate bleed areas, is fully layered and utilizes CMYK for its color mode (preferred by most commercial printers).
Designer kdesignhous offers this “Photography Business Card” template with three variances; my personal favorite being this clean windows formatted version. Tailored to photographers and studios, this double sided EPS business card template includes vectored shapes and editable text at 300 DPI.
I can’t say this next business card template is wild, but cleanly designed “Print Business Card” by CodePower was impressive enough to include. Intended for agencies, marketing professionals and print marketers, this artwork is fully customizable.
Unlike the above example “Corporate Business Card THN046” seems about as wild as they come. The crowded, black and gold retro styled design resonates bling bling like no other business card. Typically, I hate cards with borders and this demonstrates why. I can totally see jewelry shops, pawn shops, gold clubs and dancers embracing this design but corporate in the title is misleading in my opinion. However, the artist, thnamdqs, seems to be hoping executives will be impressed.
Electronic shops, TV repair shops and computer services may embrace a template like this electronics board themed business card by oksrider. My wild examples of business cards are becoming more tacky than innovative so let’s make the last two examples really count.
GraphicRiver hosts many “Corporate Business Card” templates, but this black and white example includes three versions of displaying essential contact information without crowding the card real estate. Of course, the black or white areas could easily be modified to fit any brand or business identity. The is a solid example of a classic rectangle business card with a contemporary feel to it.
I specifically selected juliaannakovia’s business card design due to the color choices. The somewhat saturated or muted color tones are fascinating, but will probably not work for individuals or companies with strong branding presence; however, the color combination might inspire a new business person or be relevant for new product launches.
Business cards are still super important for day to day business operations especially when meeting new clients. GraphicRiver.net, an Envato company, is a great place to start looking for ideas if your business is thinking about a business card redesign, but current branding strategies may limit the benefits of choosing a template over a custom design.
